Üçgen Pigmentler Makes a Difference with the Power of Color

As the representative of German company Merck KGaA, we sell pearl pigments and performance materials, as well as edible Candurin® mineral pearl pigments specially produced for the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Merck KGaA, founded in Germany in 1668, today provides solutions for many sectors with a total of 50,000 employees in 66 countries. For the food and pharmaceutical sectors, Candurin® mineral pearl pigment is produced using the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) system and is available in 18 different varieties with different particle sizes. It is used for coloring and decoration purposes in numerous products including chocolate, dragées, soft and hard confectionery, chewing gum, beverages, ice cream and ice cream sauce, food supplements, pharmaceuticals, syrups and ointments, giving the product an elegant, distinctive and striking appearance.Merck KGaA has recently added Candurin® NXT Ruby Red to its range of varieties that provide different effects based on gold, silver, copper and interference ground colors. For red, one of the most important colors in food coloring, Carmine (E120), which is mostly animal-derived, and synthetic Allura Red (E129) are most commonly used.

With its latest product, the bright and vibrant red Candurin® NXT Ruby Red, Merck KGaA has offered a natural alternative to Carmine (E120) and Allura Red (E129). Unlike other varieties based on natural mica, it is the first silica-based mineral pearl pigment and contains iron oxide in its composition.

Like other Candurin® mineral pearl pigments, this too is not synthetic. Candurin® NXT Ruby Red, launched in Germany, is suitable for use in many products with a particle size of 5-50 μm, unlike other varieties.No Candurin has any taste or odor and creates no sensation in the mouth. All Candurin® pigments hold Halal and Kosher certificates and are suitable for use together with other food colorants. Even when exposed to high temperatures, they do not lose their shine and luster.
