Prosim Kimya, founded in 1997 by Semih İşçimenler, operates as the sole authorized representative and distributor in Turkey for 40 world-leading international companies in the fields of paints, powder coatings, composites, plastics, rubber, building chemicals and more.
Prosim Kimya has never chosen to be merely a chemical raw materials importer.

The Prosim team, saying "As Prosim Kimya, our primary principle has always been to take steps that add value and benefit to our customers," worked as the Turkish representative of Reichhold Inc from 1999 to 2006. Wanting to take the commercial and technical position it had brought to the Turkish market further, in 2006 Reichhold Inc and Prosim established Reichhold Turkey – Reichhold Kimya San. ve Tic. AŞ. with the aim of manufacturing in Turkey. This investment is particularly significant as it was the first foreign direct investment established in this sector in Turkey.
"From that point on, our responsibility changed. At the time, we had very large competitors who were already strong in the sector.
Our priority was quality – we needed to develop products with much narrower specifications than what everyone else was producing and ensure they could deliver top performance in the final product, and then take a new step to bring global innovations to our customers," said Semih İşçimenler. With project partners Ege Kimya and İlkalem, they produced excellent products with repeatable quality both in the powder coatings and composites sector and in the coil coatings sector. In the composites and coil coatings sector, they moved the technology line to a completely different level.
Believing that hard and efficient work is the most important factor in success, the Reichhold and Prosim team overcame many obstacles deemed impossible and, with support from their customers in the domestic market, became one of the most preferred main resin suppliers in terms of quality and service in a short time.
By 2010, the company had reached a position of exporting Reichhold quality products to many local and international customers in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Russia, Ukraine and even Bangladesh.
The objectives and projects of Reichhold and Prosim Kimya multiplied over time with support from foreign companies producing similar products. Ultimately, to increase importance and market share in the global market, Reichhold Kimya laid the foundation for its 3rd Factory in the Arslan Bey Organized Industrial Zone in İzmit, wholly owned by the company. Reichhold Kimya's 3rd Factory, which began production in August 2017, was completed in the Arslan Bey Organized Industrial Zone, Kartepe – İzmit region, on an area of 25,000 m² with an investment exceeding USD 20 million. The company's subsequent targets are listed as follows: 1- Reichhold Kimya San. ve Tic. AŞ., which currently has a good position and reputation in terms of quality awareness, will increase its sales volume by a minimum of 2 times in both Turkey and export markets. According to its first 5-year target, it will become the best and leading company producing polyester resin for the composites, powder coatings, coil and metal packaging sectors. 2- Reichhold will combine its technological strength with an Asian manufacturer whose products are appreciated in the global market due to their performance but has not gained significant market share due to being in the Far East, and will begin production of many new products within 2 months. 3- Through synthesis and application laboratories that will be commissioned at Reichhold Kimya's Arslan Bey Organized facility in September 2017, work will be conducted both on special customer requests and on many new production areas. The name of this partnership, which will create this momentum and innovation, is Polimer Arge. 4- The Arslan Bey Organized Industrial Zone investment has already attracted great interest from many European companies to Reichhold Kimya. With such a new and technological facility now coming online, it will play a role in bringing many new opportunities to the global market. 5- In the global market, on 19 May 2017, Reichhold and Polynt, the world's two major polyester resin manufacturers, merged, and this merger created a giant company in the paints and composites sector.The new company's total revenue exceeds USD 2 billion and production takes place at 40 different locations. Additionally, with the Polynt merger, Reichhold also achieved upstream integration, becoming a producer of maleic and phthalic anhydride.
Thanks to this development, it will be able to procure higher-technology products and, through upstream integration, become a more reliable supplier in case of any raw materials shortage. 6- Very soon, production of a completely new product in a different sector that has never been produced in Turkey will begin. Prosim Kimya, which will come to the agenda with a new joint venture shortly, will continue to contribute to the Turkish economy with a different product. It appears that Prosim Kimya, founded in August 1997, will continue to take its own organization, customers, and sector to higher levels in technological and innovative terms, with the same determination and hard work it showed in its first year. This year, celebrating Prosim's 20th and Reichhold's 10th anniversary, the company is entering its 20th year with great excitement about its new facility, one of the most important investments in the world.
