RTV-2 is a two-component silicone elastomer. Polyurethane-based products and elastomers have broad applications in shoe mold manufacturing, plaster, polyester-buffer printing, and prototype design sectors. The main characteristics of silicone systems, available in different hardness and color options, are: • Flexibility, • Non-adhesion of raw materials to the mold due to its silicone structure, • Perfect detail in molds due to the transition from liquid to solid phase during application, • High durability, • Easy reaction (low heat), • Easy use without requiring special equipment, • Non-aging, • Resistance to high temperatures, • Dielectric properties, • Very low tensile and shrinkage rates. Vulcanization begins when the two components are mixed. Ideal conditions for vulcanization are: • Maintain ambient temperature of 23-30°C, • Adhere to the recommended catalyst dosage.
