Specialized Solutions for Specialized Applications Klaus Union GmbH has been a pioneer in the chemical and petrochemical sectors since 1946, producing durable and long-lasting pumps without compromising on quality. Our brand has distinguished itself by supplying magnetic pumps to these sectors throughout its history. In 2021, we made an investment in the Klaus Union Turkey facility in Izmir Kemalpaşa for the production of mechanical seal pumps in ISO 2858 standard for use in the chemical sector. All raw materials used in production are included in our system following incoming quality inspections. All pump casings included in our system are subjected to hydrostatic testing according to EN ISO 5199 standard. All pumps leaving the Klaus Union Turkey facility undergo 100% testing, and test values are provided to the customer together with our pumps. Traceability is at the forefront of our system. This is why we set out with the slogan "Quality is Our Success" and continue on our path with the belief that "Our Quality is Your Success." For special applications such as ammonia, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid and nitric acid in fertilizer plants, we can provide specialized solutions. For these types of applications where corrosion and wear are intense or will be intense, we can offer complete solutions (including bearing housings and casings) using special materials such as 316 or 904L. In petrochemical applications, we can provide ATEX-certified pump solutions for both bare pumps and complete pump systems. For applications such as chemical solutions, organic solutions, and acid solutions, we make our selections together with our suppliers and design the most suitable pumps for projects. In the chemical sector, we can produce and supply pumps for ethanol, methanol, caustic, acid solutions, anolyte solutions as well as specialized chemical applications. We can offer specialized solutions such as heating jackets, drain connections for casings, and plan 11 connections.

You can find the basic features of Klaus Union pumps below:

• Due to corrosion risk, we produce shafts from carbon steel and, instead of using keys for the shaft, we use one-piece shafts made from 1.4462 material in our pumps. The shafts in our inventory are of this type. • Instead of producing pump frames from I and U metal profiles, they are solid in accordance with DIN 2858 standard. For applications with corrosion risk, we can also supply frames made of 304 or 316 material. • Since our finished and raw materials that have passed quality inspections are in our inventory, we can deliver spare parts in short timeframes even if the end user does not maintain spare parts inventory.   • Our team, to ensure that pumps are safely put into operation, can perform coupling alignment using laser coupling equipment, vibration control, and temperature control upon request. In the event of any uncertainty in the pump due to process conditions, we can retrieve the pump and conduct performance testing using our test facility together with our customer to ensure that the correct specifications are operating. • As required by our quality assurance procedures, we measure and inspect each component arriving at our facility individually. • As required by our quality assurance procedures, we apply 100% hydrostatic testing to all pump casings, not just 10%. • As required by our quality assurance procedures, we fully apply ISO9906 IIB performance testing for each pump rather than simply switching pumps on and off. When performing performance tests, we ensure that all instruments/electrical components are calibrated for measurement and share calibration reports upon request. During pump testing, instead of measuring power consumption from the motor, we use a torque meter to obtain more accurate results. • We conduct witnessed performance tests at significantly lower costs compared to our competitors. • Thanks to precision casting, we have raw materials with better surface quality. We have prevented the casting bubbles or surface defects that occur in conventional casting. All Klaus Union products are developed and designed by experienced engineers.
