Nidaplast – Polypropylene (PP) Honeycomb Sandwich Panels
Nidaplast products are extruded polypropylene (PP) honeycomb panels used as core material in sandwich structures. These honeycomb structures are composed of hexagonal cells with 8 mm diameter. Nidaplast panels offer numerous advantages.
The rigidity of sandwich structures created using these panels is achieved by increasing thickness, yet without experiencing a significant increase in weight.
Nidaplast offers a broad range of multifunctional core products for demanding industrial applications. These lightweight panels are also used in daily applications. Panels with decay-resistant honeycomb structure are particularly recommended for boat applications.
Panels are ideal for structural applications in sailing vessels and motor yachts due to their high compression strength and impact resistance. Nidaplast sandwich panels are used in boats' hulls, cabin floors, bulkheads and furniture.
In building applications, honeycomb sandwich panels can be used in both interior panels and exterior coatings due to their excellent sound and thermal insulation properties. Nidaplast's unique products are offered with additional features to meet different industry constraints.
To meet fire safety standard requirements, Nidaplast 8 FR (Flame Retardant) product prevents flame spread and can withstand flame for prolonged periods. The FR version, which has the same properties as the Nidaplast 8 product, is equipped with a halogen-free special compound that limits flame propagation.
Sandwich panels created using Nidaplast 8 FR meet the EN 13-501 European standard at the highest values. In the rail system sector, when Nidaplast 8 FR is combined with appropriate coatings, very high values can be achieved according to EN45545 standard. With Nidaplast products, it is possible to combine traditional and heavy materials such as concrete or stone with polypropylene honeycomb materials. When a thin surface of concrete or stone is applied over the core material, the resulting sandwich panel will be 3 times lighter than a monolithic concrete panel and far more durable.
Nidapan® product is a special product equipped with glass-reinforced/PP composite. Thanks to glass reinforcement, the rigidity of the honeycomb core structure has been increased. This product can be adapted to kitchen worktop production, concrete furniture manufacturing or floor construction.
Surfaces achieved even with a very thin layer are ultra-durable and do not shrink or crack. Nidaplast places great emphasis on customer satisfaction and provides numerous services to its customers.
