Krohne Introduces Stainless Steel Signal Converters
Krohne's IFC 100, MAC 100 and SMARTMAC 200 signal converters now available with stainless steel housing option.
• Hygienic housing option for converters / operating units for OPTIFLUX electromagnetic flowmeters, OPTISENS and SMARTPAT analytical sensors.
• No dirt accumulation.
• Protection classes IP66/67/69.
Krohne signal converters IFC 100 (electromagnetic flowmeters) and MAC 100 with SMARTMAC 200 (analytical sensors) operating unit now feature a stainless steel housing option. These products, originally designed for food and beverage industry applications, can also be used in high-corrosion environments such as salt-laden atmospheres.
Offered as an alternative to the standard aluminum housing, the new stainless steel exterior is "hygienic" by design as it contains no surface areas where dirt can accumulate.
It features a non-glass display for compliance with zoning criteria in food and beverage applications. Manufactured from 1.4404/316L stainless steel with a thickness of 2 mm / 5/64" for superior durability and rated IP66/67/69 protection class.
Krohne IFC 100, MAC 100 and SMARTMAC 200 signal converters share the same HMI and housing design. The IFC 100 is a signal converter for electromagnetic flowmeters used in standard hygienic applications.
The new stainless steel-housed IFC 100, typically combined with the hygienic OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor, offers a cost-effective alternative to the higher-end IFC 300 model. MAC 100 is a signal converter for analytical sensors such as OPTISENS IND 7000 and OPTISENS COND 7200 hygienic conductivity sensors.
SMARTMAC 200 is an operating unit for calibration and configuration of analytical sensors with integrated transmitter features, such as SMARTPAT PH 8570 and SMARTPAT COND 7200.
