KIMfoot® Shoe Systems Kimpur, which is among Turkey's largest 500 industrial establishments, is a polyurethane systems house with 39 years of experience in the chemistry sector and the largest capacity in the region with 129,000 tons in Turkey and 25,000 tons in its affiliated operations in Europe. With its Düzce investment, it aims to increase total production capacity to approximately 200,000 tons and to rank among the world's top 10 systems houses. Since its inception, our company has produced polyurethane systems specifically designed for manufacturing all types of shoe soles. Our shoe product group, named KIMfoot® Shoe Systems, displays a wide variety ranging from low-density slipper and sports systems to high-density occupational safety systems, and is divided into different groups according to areas of application.

Winning Steps

KIMfoot® Sports Sole Systems are three-component, low-density polyester-based systems. They offer advantages such as high step count, high comfort, glossy skin appearance, and operation at low densities. Today, the most frequently encountered problem in shoe sole systems is the deterioration of physical properties as density decreases. Ultra Low Density KIMfoot® Sports Sole System does not lose its elasticity at molded densities of 340-380 kg/m³. Additionally, it provides a high weight advantage (10-20 percent based on mold volume) while also offering superior cold flex properties, one of the most important characteristics of a shoe sole.

Light and Flexible Steps

Our company, which offers dozens of different solutions tailored to all the needs and processes for slipper systems, has developed KIMfoot® NG and KIMlite® Slipper Systems with ultra low-density, flexible, rigid and soft alternatives. Our Ultra Low Density KIMfoot® Slipper System, which we launched in June and is unique in the sector, is molded at a density of 210 kg/m³, has smooth skin structure and high dimensional stability. Our system provides a 20 percent weight advantage compared to low-density products in the sector, while enabling the production of slippers with high elasticity and excellent physical properties, and also offers manufacturing advantages with short mold opening time, wide working range and easily meltable prepolymer. Finally, in September, we launched polyester polyol synthesized from PET bottle waste. Approximately 20 percent of the polyester polyol used in slipper manufacturing consists of PET waste, and approximately 17 percent consists of bio-based raw materials. With the elastic structure of the product we obtained, we have set a precedent in our sector.

Comfortable Steps

Kimpur also designs sole systems specific to seasons that can be characterized as winter, spring and hard summer. KIMfoot® Sole Systems, which offer different properties depending on our customers' demands and use conditions, do not lose their elasticity at low temperatures while showing high resistance to slipping. During sole production, good distribution of the mixture in the mold allows even the most complex patterns to come out flawlessly. Our spring systems, thanks to their high physical properties, maintain their dimensional stability even at low densities between 320-350 kg/m³ and create a difference in the sector with their weight advantage. Our hard summer systems are in the 380-420 kg/m³ density range.

Safe Steps

Our company, which is the leader in Turkey's polyurethane shoe sole sector, is also developing polyurethane systems for occupational safety shoe soles, which play an important role in protecting workers, particularly those working in heavy industry. KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Shoe Systems, which provide both safe and comfortable steps to ensure long-term use by workers, comply with EN ISO 20345: 2012 and EN 61340-5-1 standards. Occupational safety shoes can be produced in single or dual density and may have various properties. In sectors where static electricity poses a major hazard, occupational safety shoes with antistatic properties should be preferred. KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Shoe Systems offer high resistance to chemical spills, while displaying high hydrolysis resistance in work areas with high humidity.

Durable Steps

KIMfoot® Boot Systems have been developed in compliance with EN ISO 20345 standards for polyurethane boots that can be used as much in demanding work environments as in daily life, providing users with flexibility properties and high comfort and durability features, thus offering long-term use advantages. Our systems show superior durability against challenging weather conditions, while being durable at low temperatures and also suitable for use during summer months.

Ergonomic Steps

Aware that in shoe selection, in addition to outer sole comfort, the inner sole should also be chosen to fit the foot structure for foot health, we have developed dual-component polyether-based KIMfoot® Fusbet Systems for use in inner sole applications to increase shoe comfort. These systems offer advantages such as weight advantage, short mold opening times with production efficiency, smooth skin structure and high comfort. As the Kimpur R&D Shoe team, we continue our work in our simulation center with a low-pressure machine and necessary equipment, obtaining correct analyses and quick results in accordance with our customers' needs. As a company followed in Turkey and the world market, we continue our efforts to produce extraordinary solutions and innovative products that touch every aspect of life.     Kimpur R&D Shoe Team
