What is IvyLanc™P?

IvyLanc™ P has an amino acid composition very similar to hair and keratin. IvyLanc™ P is the commercial name of a protein derived from peas and is manufactured by Yangzhou Joyvo Weikem Biology Co. Ltd. IvyLanc™ P is obtained using dual enzyme degradation technology. Amino acid composition analyses demonstrate very high protein content and a meaningful amino acid distribution. As a cosmetic raw material combining numerous properties, IvyLanc™ P easily penetrates damaged hair deeply, repairs it and smooths the hair surface. In addition to moisturizing properties for both hair and skin, it is an effective antioxidant. For hair products, it is recommended for use as a conditioning agent in shampoo and as a foam booster; for skin products, it is recommended as a moisturizing agent and for anti-aging purposes. The recommended usage rate is 0.5–2%. IvyLanc™ P is a natural plant-derived hair and skin care active ingredient that is 100% vegan, non-GMO and hypoallergenic.

Hair Care Properties

Bleached hair samples of Asian origin were treated with IvyLanc™ P at 50°C for 15 minutes, then rinsed with water and dried. This process was repeated 5 times. The control hair sample was treated with water only. The hair samples were subsequently observed under a fluorescence microscope. Figure 1. The healthier the hair, the lower the fluorescence intensity. IVYLANC™ P: Foam Formation Capacity The foam formation capacity of IvyLanc™ P was measured according to Chinese Standards (GB/T 7462). IvyLanc™ P was added at 0.5% to a shampoo base and was observed to increase both foam volume and foam stability. A much more refined, fine-textured foam was formed with IvyLanc™ P. Figure 2. When compared with cream without IvyLanc™ P, the cream containing 1% IvyLanc™ P was observed to have a much brighter and smoother appearance. Comparative Antioxidant Properties with Vitamin C Under the same test conditions, antioxidant properties equivalent to those obtained with Vitamin C were achieved.
