Kimpur, ranked among Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises, is a polyurethane system house with 39 years of experience in the chemical sector and the largest capacity in the region with 129,000 tons in Turkey and 25,000 tons in Europe through its affiliated companies. With its Düzce investment, it aims to reach a total production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons and to be among the world's top 10 system houses.
Since its inception, Kimpur has been producing polyurethane systems specially designed for the manufacture of all types of shoe soles. Our shoe product group, named KIMfoot® Shoe Systems, exhibits a wide variety ranging from low-density slipper and sportswear systems to high-density occupational safety systems and is divided into different groups according to their applications.
The footwear sector changes annually in line with user needs, and the sector's market size is expanding. While high-density and rigid soles were predominantly preferred in the 2000s, today softer, more flexible and ultra-low-density soles are preferred.
In the past, flexible and low-density soles could only be produced with EVA material, but our company, as a result of studies conducted in our R&D Center, has developed polyurethane systems with superior physical properties compared to EVA and higher production efficiency, thereby accelerating the sector's development.
Increasing R&D investments each year and being the only polyurethane system house among the top 10 companies with the highest R&D spending in the Chemicals and Chemical Products sector in 2020, according to a Turkishtime study conducted last year, our company has developed two additional new products that make a difference with their high advantages in the footwear sector. These systems are the Ultra Low-Density KIMfoot® Sportswear Sole System and Slipper System.
Today, the most common problem encountered in shoe sole systems is the deterioration of physical properties as density decreases. Our Ultra Low-Density KIMfoot® Sportswear Sole System does not lose its elasticity at molded densities of 340 kg / m³.
In addition, it provides a weight advantage of 10-20 percent relative to mold volume while also offering high cold flex advantage, which is one of the most important characteristics of a shoe sole.
Table 1 details the reaction profile of our Ultra Low-Density KIMfoot® Sportswear Sole System.
Our Ultra Low-Density KIMfoot® Slipper System, on the other hand, has a molded density of 210 kg / m³, uniform skin structure and high dimensional stability. Our system, which is unique in the sector, provides a weight advantage of 20 percent while enabling the production of slippers with high elasticity and excellent physical properties. Our system offers production advantages through short mold opening time, wide working range and easily melted prepolymer.

As the Kimpur R&D team, we continue our work in our simulation center with low-pressure machines and necessary equipment, obtaining accurate analyses and rapid results in line with our customers' needs.
As a company followed in the Turkish and global market, we continue our efforts to produce extraordinary solutions and innovative products that touch every aspect of life.
