Three Features Offered by the Fitstation System
Fitstation is a system developed by Desma and HP that brings together shoe manufacturers and end consumers, enabling the production of optimally designed shoes with personalized insole design, color selection, and internal molds tailored to the consumer's foot.
Feature 1: Recommendations
Following your three-dimensional foot scan, your gait analysis is generated and a digital catalog is used to configure the midsole structure best suited to your foot anatomy. After configuration, shoe sole colors are selected according to your preferences. For foot anatomy that has previously been measured and scanned by us with digital data obtained, you can find the most suitable standard shoe sizes. These size recommendations are created based on foot length and width. Preferences for tighter or looser fit are not part of this recommendation engine. These preferences must be made by you. The decisions you make and your purchasing habits will also help us in making recommendations about you.Feature 2: 3D Printing and Insole
Based on the information obtained from the 3D scan of your feet, taking into account your foot measurements and walking pattern, three-dimensional insoles are also prepared. Shoes produced with custom-made insoles wrap your foot perfectly and bring your comfort to the highest level.Feature 3: Personalized Shoes
Thanks to the system developed by Fitstation, you will be able to order shoes suited to your foot and gait, in the color and design of your choice. You will be able to determine the shoe model, size and sole color, and based on your gait analysis results, achieve midsole comfort suited only to your foot in a shoe you specify. Thanks to Desma's developed MSI technology, bringing all these components together is no longer difficult. The first two features mentioned above have already found their place in stores in the United States. As of 2019, preparations have begun for Europe and Asia as well. The third feature mentioned will appear in America as of June 2018 and subsequently in Europe and Asia. This joint research and development and innovation work between HP and Desma combines computer technology with Desma's latest MSI system in shoe sole injection, achieving the delivery of completely personalized shoes to end users in the shoe industry. Shoes previously produced in fixed molds and offered far from personal orthopedic comfort have now become compatible with not only the individual's foot structure but also their walking characteristics integrated with their entire skeletal system. We are seeing this innovation, which will shape the near future, beginning to find its place not only in comfort shoes but also in occupational safety, sports, and military applications. M.
