EPIDERMIST 4.0 – Healthy and Flawless Skin A flawless skin appearance is directly linked to skin health. At the same time, our skin possesses self-protection and self-renewal properties. Epidermist 4.0 supports these skin properties by strengthening the skin's physical and chemical barrier, and increases hyaluronic synthesis to enable the skin to reach optimum hydration levels.

Product Source and Characteristic Properties

EPIDERMIST 4.0 is an ExoPolySaccharide synthesized by a microorganism (Vibrio sp) living off the coast of Aber Benoit in France. Epidermist 4.0 is produced in culture bioreactors to synthesize a completely pure and naturally unique molecule in the world (galactose and N-acetyl-glucosamine).

Mechanism of Action

Epidermist 4.0 product restores skin health, homogeneity and moisture balance by regulating the mechanisms specified below.

1) Improving Physical Barrier Function

• After 1 week of use: 1% Epidermist 4.0 increases the synthesis of differentiation proteins. Cell renewal: +31%

2) Optimum Hydration

• After a single application: 0.02% Epidermist 4.0 increases the synthesis of hyaluronic acid synthesized in the skin. Autonomous moisture gain capacity: +17%

3) Improving Chemical Barrier Function

• After 8 days of use: 1% Epidermist 4.0 prevents pathogenic bacteria from adhering to the skin, inhibits pro-inflammatory molecules and increases the synthesis of antimicrobial peptides. Skin reactivity level: 37% reduction

Physical Barrier Function

The Stratum Corneum is the outermost layer of the skin responsible for creating a barrier between the organism and the environment, preventing problems caused by pathogens on the skin and preventing water loss from the skin. Physical barrier function is provided through this layer. At the same time, a flawless appearance on the skin is directly a result of the healthy structure of the Stratum Corneum. This healthy structure results from the differentiation and good organization of keratinocytes. Keratinocyte differentiation strengthens physical barrier function and enables the skin to achieve a flawless appearance. Epidermist 4.0 increases the synthesis of differentiation proteins and this increase supports physical barrier formation and additionally enables the renewal of the Stratum Corneum layer. The primary function of the epidermis is to produce the Stratum Corneum layer. It is formed through the differentiation of keratinocytes from the basal layer toward the skin surface. Many proteins are involved at each stage of this differentiation process. Epidermist 4.0 increases the synthesis of differentiation proteins, renews the stratum corneum layer and creates a strong physical barrier.  

Optimum Hydration

Moisturizing products help hydrate damaged skin but not all skin types reach ideal moisture balance in the same way. We can call the achievement of this moisture balance "Optimum Hydration". Optimum hydration involves a mechanism that regularly ensures water transfer from the dermis to the epidermis and stratum corneum layers to re-hydrate the upper layers. The effect of this mechanism is directly proportional to the strengthening of physical and chemical barriers. At the same time, this optimum hydration can also be achieved by stimulating components responsible for the skin's moisture retention capacity, such as hyaluronic acid.

Chemical Barrier Function

Chemical barrier function includes 2 different defense modules: 1. Innate immunity consisting of proteins and antimicrobial peptides. Innate immunity, unlike acquired immunity, exists from birth. It is our first line of defense against infectious pathogens surrounding us.
