Today, various types of packaging materials are used in the chemical industry. In production facilities, FIBC PP Big Bags are the most commonly encountered due to their many advantages.

Why Do Companies Prefer to Use Big Bags?

Big bags are used worldwide by numerous industries for filling, storage and shipment of tons of products, and this rate is increasing. Big bag usage offers price advantages due to high transport capacities. Easy filling, storage and shipment, along with 100% recyclability and reliability, are also the most important factors in their preference. Cesur Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş, at its integrated FIBC PP Big Bag production facilities located in Kartal-Istanbul, has adopted as its primary objective the prevention of all types of work accidents that may occur in the filling units of companies in the chemical sector due to accumulation and discharge of static energy. To prevent this type of work accident, in accordance with IEC 61340-4-4 Ed2 regulation, Big Bag types have been divided into 4 different groups according to their static properties. Cesur Ambalaj manufactures all products within these 4 groups of Big Bags with certificates obtained from neutral testing houses.

FIBC – Type A

Standard Big Bag. It has no static protection. Application area; transport of non-flammable and non-explosive products. However, the most important points to note here are that there should be no flammable-explosive solvent or gas in the environment and the transported products should not be flammable-explosive.

FIBC – Type B

Standard Big Bag. A Big Bag type manufactured with special fabric having low voltage value. It is used in the transport of dry and flammable powder form products. It is manufactured with lined and unlined options. There should be no flammable, explosive solvent or gas in the environment.

FIBC – Type C Conductive

Conductive Big Bag. A Big Bag type designed with conductive threads touching each other throughout the entire body, with surface voltage below 10^7 Ohm, safely conducting the energy generated in this way to the ground. This product is used in the transport of flammable powder form products. If the grounding mechanism is damaged or does not exist, it must not be used under any circumstances. Similarly, it should not be used when there are flammable-explosive solvents and gases in the environment.

FIBC – Type D Chromiq

With the help of special silver threads in its body, it safely dissipates energy generated during filling and discharging to the atmosphere. Type D big bags operate without requiring any grounding unit and are designed to reduce to zero serious risks that may arise from operator errors such as forgetting or incorrectly performing grounding. It is used in the transport of flammable powder form products. It should be used when there are flammable, explosive solvents and gases in the environment. It should not be used when the big bag surface is coated with conductive materials such as water or oil. In addition to these product groups, special UN Big Bags for storage and transport of hazardous materials and chemicals are manufactured by Cesur Ambalaj in accordance with United Nations Hazardous Cargo Transport Regulation.
