The galvanic industry in particular uses numerous baths in process engineering systems for surface treatment of components. In this context, the process parameters in tanks and baths have a decisive effect on product surface quality. Critical parameters include not only acid and metal content, but also precise temperature control. However, the heat exchanger (coil) plays a decisive role in ensuring uniform temperature regulation. In this production environment, water and/or steam has proven to be the most reliable and safe heating and cooling fluid. To meet these requirements, Calorplast designs immersion-type heat exchangers for heating and cooling. These heat exchangers, proven in thousands of applications, operate with hot water, steam or liquid coolant. Calorplast brings a unique technical approach to the plastic heat exchanger market. During the manufacturing process, standardized building blocks in "modular" or "tube plate" form are produced in large quantities and with high precision using extrusion, molding and proprietary upper molding processes. During fabrication, the building blocks are fully welded and assembled into custom-designed heat exchangers, combining an extraordinary level of standardization and flexibility through custom fabrication systems. The number of building blocks used is virtually unlimited, and it is possible to manufacture highly compact units with surfaces of 1 m² as well as heat exchangers larger than 1,000 m² with greater heat transfer. Unlike simple plastic coil loops on the market, the number of parallel tubes in the unique Calorplast design is unlimited and extremely low pressure drops combined with high heat transfer make the exchangers extraordinarily efficient in energy transfer. Low capital and operating costs and long service life make Calorplast heat transfer systems highly advantageous for users. The modular base technology divides Calorplast heat exchangers into several optimized special designs for applications.Immersion Type Heat Exchangers
Immersion type heat exchangers, which can be manufactured from PP, PE-RT and PVDF materials, effectively provide temperature management in surface coating tanks and thus play an important role in the quality of the coating process. Heating units accept hot water and even saturated steam for rapid heating times and stable temperatures under high material load. When cooling units are used, immersion type heat exchangers discharge energy from rectifiers from the tank for a stable process temperature. Calorplast heat exchangers are calculated and optimized using computer-aided simulation, which enables us to create the most reliable configuration at an appropriate cost.Gas-Water Heat Exchangers
Used in industrial ventilation systems that discharge hazardous waste gases produced in processes (such as surface coating lines). During discharge of large quantities, the energy recovered from these waste gases is reclaimed in gas-water heat exchangers, increasing operational profitability and ecological sustainability of production. The heat exchangers are manufactured from PE-RT material and can be used at waste gas flow rates of up to 80,000 m³/h.Calorplast Liquid-Liquid Heat Exchangers
Manufactured as unique tube plate heat exchangers with classical shell and tube design. Calorplast liquid-liquid heat exchangers, which can be manufactured from PP, PE-RT, PVDF and PFA materials, always provide the most reliable and cost-effective exchangers for surface coating applications. In the surface coating industry, when there is no space in tanks for immersion units, external heat exchangers are used as heat transfer devices for temperature management in the tank. Calorplast thermoplastic heating and cooling grid coils are manufactured from standardized tube-shaped modules that permit an optimum design to meet customer specifications.
