Tüpraş and Arter to Hold Art Event for Children on 23 April
Tüpraş and Arter have realised a meaningful collaboration combining the spirit of 23 April with art. Tüpraş and Arter, a cultural institution affiliated with the Vehbi Koç Foundation and sponsored by Tüpraş, bring children together with contemporary art through a specially prepared online virtual tour programme.
Tüpraş continues to sign meaningful projects through corporate social responsibility work carried out with awareness of social responsibility. Through the Tüpraş-Arter collaboration, the spirit of 23 April is combined with art in the online experience. Designed as an online event due to the pandemic, the event was made accessible to everyone, especially children, through the youtube channels of Tüpraş and Arter.
Arter, which has been operating since 2010 as a Vehbi Koç Foundation institution sponsored by Tüpraş, developed for this purpose a 20-minute video programme prepared in an educational and instructive language for children, covering all disciplines of art.
Children toured Arter on a virtual visit
The Arter Learning Programme team explains the main functional areas of the Arter building and current exhibitions in the video for all children interested in art and eager to create. Following the narration of expert museum educator Dilan Salkaya from the Arter Learning Programme Team, children visiting the exhibitions "Listening Eyes," "On Celestial Bodies," and "Rain Forest V (Variation 3)" in the virtual environment listen to the stories of the works; in the 14-storey Arter building, besides exhibition areas, they explore performance halls, event spaces, library and bookshop. The colourful video also includes suggestions for fun activities that children can carry out at home. The Arter Collection, which features contemporary art works produced in various media such as painting, sculpture, film and photography, holds over 1,300 works by approximately 400 artists.Cultural development of new generations targeted
Through the cultural and art activities carried out together with Arter, Tüpraş aims to contribute to the cultural development of new generations. The event, brought to life with an enjoyable 23 April programme, was organised with the aim of making children love art and establishing a special bond with art, and developing their vocabulary relating to art. During the pandemic period, students meeting at the culture and art event embark on a journey in their world of imagination with each contemporary art work and have the opportunity to experience contemporary art's methods of abstract thinking."Our Energy is Art": Arter
Tüpraş assumed the corporate sponsorship of Arter for 5 years, a Vehbi Koç Foundation institution that opened in 2010 and relocated to its building in Dolapdere in 2019. With the support of Tüpraş, which contributes to enabling an environment where young people and children can freely meet contemporary art, admission to Arter exhibitions is free for viewers of all ages on Thursdays. Young people under 24 years of age and Arter Beraber members can visit the exhibitions free of charge at all times. This collaboration between Arter and Tüpraş will continue until 2024. During the pandemic period, Arter has also added online guided tours to its programme and aims to be an accessible, vibrant and sustainable culture and lifestyle platform for everyone.Advertisement
