Taj Express – The Bollywood Musical

Taj Express started its musical performances in Mumbai with memorable shows, dazzling dances and iconic Indian songs. The production was undertaken by the Merchant family, India's leading entertainment company. The show is directed by Shruti Merchant, a renowned name in Bollywood, while choreographer Vaibhavi, who stands out despite her young age, created the show's breathtaking choreography. Vaibhavi has received numerous awards including the International Choreography Award, IIFA and American Choreography Awards for her work. The team, which spreads Bollywood culture and traditions to the world through costumes, live music and colorful performances, has performed in many European countries and America. Bollywood's most renowned choreographers blend classical Indian culture with contemporary choreography, creating a very special performance with the help of exceptionally talented dancers. The show is accompanied by the unforgettable compositions of Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman.

Story

Taj Express tells the story of one person's passion and another person's genius. A young composer named Shankar, tasked with composing music for a Bollywood film, invites the audience to his own music studio, introduces them to musicians and shows the challenges of making music. He finds the path to success by following in the footsteps of his idol A.R. Rahman. Taj Express stages the secrets and magic of the world's most productive film industry. The film mentioned in the musical revolves around the story of Kareena, a beautiful actress, and Arjun, a street hero. Arjun rescues young people from the streets and provides them with classical dance training. Kareena is a young artist pursuing her freedom. Arjun shows Kareena the path she must follow to find the light. On this journey, Kareena must rediscover the essence of dance, poetry and meditation, and true love. To make this discovery, she leaves Bollywood and the world she knows behind and boards the Taj Express.
