Sustainable Living Film Festival 2020 Selection to Go Online

Sustainable Life Film Festival 2020 Selection Available Online Nationwide Through SYFFEVDE The SYFF2020 selection will be available free of charge to audiences nationwide from 1–6 December through SYFFEVDE, an online festival, at surdurulebiliryasam.net. The 26 short and feature-length documentaries to be screened at the festival address a broad range of themes and approaches including sustainable agriculture and food systems and supply chains, seeds, regenerative livestock farming, water rights, protection of commons, climate change and migration, gold mining and toxic waste, mega fires, foraging culture, fisheries, biodiversity, nature conservation and wildlife, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable economy. The SYFF2020 selection emphasises that sustainable living is possible only when the living environments and conditions of all living beings on the planet are sustainable; that for our wellbeing, the season, air, water, soil, wilderness, farmer, seed, forest, insect, tomato, and neighbour must all be well. The festival opens on 1 December with the film "Nations United: Urgent Solutions for Urgent Times," released by the UN to mark its 75th anniversary and the fifth year of the Sustainable Development Goals. Over the 6-day festival, viewers can participate in online film screenings and, following the screenings, online side events organised by civil society organisations, communities, educational institutions, and other bodies, if they wish.
