Exhibition "Portrait of Istanbul" Opens in Ankara
İş Sanat is presenting the highly acclaimed "Portrait of Istanbul" exhibition at the Ankara Art Gallery in the Museum of Economic Independence, meeting with art enthusiasts.
The İş Sanat "Portrait of Istanbul" exhibition, which served as the first temporary exhibition at the Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum for approximately one year, gained considerable appreciation from visitors. A broad selection from the exhibition, which presented Istanbul-themed paintings and landscapes from both the Anatolian and European shores from the Bank's Art Works Collection, continues its journey in Ankara.
Opening at the Ankara Art Gallery on Saturday, 21 September as part of the Ankara leg of the Turkey Culture Route Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the exhibition guides visitors step by step through Istanbul's neighborhoods through unique works that largely serve as visual documents of mid-20th century Istanbul.
The Museum of Economic Independence in Ulus began hosting three different exhibitions as of this weekend: On the museum's second floor, the "Security of Your Future - A Century with Turkey's Bank" exhibition, on the third floor at the Ankara Art Gallery the "Portrait of Istanbul" exhibition, and on the 5th floor the ongoing "Writer-Illustrator Latif Demirci" exhibition, can be visited daily except Mondays from 10:00-18:00 free of charge.
