Gökçe Oflu's "Aramızda Kalsın" Exhibition Aims to Raise Social Awareness

  Gökçe Oflu, who brings a fresh perspective to art through the use of recyclable waste materials in her work, presents the exhibition "Between Us" with Ford Otosan support. The exhibition is hosted at the Vehbi Koç Foundation Ford Otosan Gölcük Culture and Social Life Centre and welcomes visitors until 14 June 2019.   "Between Us" traces the unsaid; it pursues what individuals fail to confess to themselves and their surroundings in the contexts of society, the individual, love, affection, justice, democracy, human subjectivity prone to error, physical and emotional violence.     In this, her twentieth exhibition, Gökçe Oflu employs digital printing, collage, typography and various mixed techniques with everyday convertible materials such as fabric and toilet paper to make these unsaid matters visible from an expressive perspective. The artist, who has previously created work addressing both personal and social issues, aims to raise public awareness through her works utilizing industrial waste.
