Bostik Launches Water-Soluble Label Adhesive Bostik, the adhesive solutions division of Arkema, has announced the expansion of its sustainable adhesive portfolio by bringing to market the industry's first water-soluble (wash-off) label adhesive usable at all temperatures. Eric Parois, Global Marketing Manager responsible for Labels and Narrow Web Technologies at Bostik, stated: "ClearCycle 1000 adhesive stands out in the market through its product performance, and rigorous APR testing has proven that the adhesive contributes to the PET recycling stream. ClearCycle 1000 adhesive delivers superior adhesion properties at 40°F/4.4°C and lower temperatures, enabling cold-fill and freezer-class product packaging to benefit from water-soluble label technology and increase the efficiency of the PET recycling stream. Due to its complete formulation, ClearCycle 1000 improves production efficiency and enables converters to have a ready-to-use product that has passed testing processes under recommended conditions. Another advantage of ClearCycle 1000 adhesive is that it generally reduces costs because the backing substrates inherently possess sufficient energy levels without requiring any surface pretreatment for adhesion to biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) label facestock.   Source
