Investment of Over €60 Million in Europe

Over EUR 60 Million Investment in Europe Avery Dennison Corporation has shared details of two major investments aimed at expanding production capacity and increasing factory efficiency in Europe to meet rising demand for label and packaging materials. The company announced it has completed the first year of a EUR 45 million expansion at its facilities in Champ-sur-Drac, France, to be carried out over three years. Improvements include five new logistics buildings covering more than 8,700 square meters, a new automated warehouse, and an additional high-speed, state-of-the-art hotmelt adhesive coater scheduled to come online in 2024. At its Luxembourg facility specializing in labels made with acrylic emulsion adhesives, the company undertook a EUR 15 million project to redesign operational flow and add a new emulsion specialty coater. The coater is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2023. Tim Presto, Vice President of EMENA Supply Chain and Operations at the company, stated: "Our investments in Champs-sur-Drac and Luxembourg will enable us to meet customer demands now and in the future by freeing up capacity across our European production network" and added, "Expansions at both Luxembourg and Champs-sur-Drac will strengthen the company's already robust network of European production facilities and distribution centers, enhancing service reliability for customers. Finally, these expansions will bring us one step closer to fully embracing Industry 4.0 applications, which increase efficiency, reduce operating costs, and free our employees to perform safer, higher-value tasks."
