"Our Presence Spans 16 Countries Across Three Continents"
Eralp Tunçsoy, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Global CFO of CIMPOR, one of the major brands in the global cement sector, underscored that OYAK Çimento's sphere of influence has expanded and operations continue at a global level, evaluating the first half 2025 financial results as follows: "As CIMPOR, we closely monitored the short-term impacts of geopolitical developments alongside tightening economic conditions, more challenging cash cycles compared to previous years, and tightening in financial markets. In the first half of 2025, we continued our investment spending without slowing down. By the first half of 2025, we realized investment spending of TRY 2.8 billion. Through our investments, we are strengthening our leading position in the cement sector.
We plan to reap the benefits of the substantial investments we have recently made in energy efficiency and sustainability in the years ahead. Thanks to our solid financial infrastructure along with all these investments, we will make a significant dividend payment to our stakeholders this year. Despite ongoing uncertainties in global markets, as OYAK Çimento we are continuing our efforts with determination to increase our footprint in the global cement market. In all markets outside our Turkey operations, we operate under the CIMPOR brand and are working to open new export channels. Our focus on flexibility, efficiency and sustainability at a global scale, along with our investments and initiatives in Turkey, stand out as the most prominent factors in achieving the financial and operational results we obtained in this half-year."
"We Will Continue Creating High Value for Our Company and Stakeholders"
Murat Sela, Country CEO of OYAK Çimento, expressed the following views regarding the first half-year financial results: "The first half was a period of cautious growth for our sector. Despite increasing cost pressures, we continued our operations with our agile and resilient structure as OYAK Çimento, and we are pleased with the contribution we make to the economy through our extensive commercial volume and high employment levels. In the first half of 2025, strong demand in the domestic market in our Turkey operations, particularly in the Southeastern Region, was one of the key factors supporting the maintenance of our current position. While geopolitical developments and cost pressures continue to affect the sector, OYAK Çimento is proceeding with determination on its path with strong infrastructure and a sustainable growth vision. Despite challenging market conditions, we achieved net sales of TRY 23.371 billion in the first half of 2025, while recording 10% growth in concrete and aggregate operations. Along with strong performance in our domestic cement and concrete sales volume, through our investments that continue at full pace, we maintained our profitability thanks to the direct contribution we make to the country's economy, strong cash flow and effective working capital management.
Tight monetary policies implemented in Turkey's economy to combat inflation and the process of balancing domestic demand created a cautious environment in construction and related sectors, along with rising costs. Nevertheless, our operations conducted in line with our confidence and responsibility toward the country's economy, and our sustainable growth-focused investments, reflect our demonstrated performance. As OYAK Çimento, our projects focused on sustainable energy, alternative fuel use, digitalization and efficiency are progressing rapidly. The installation stages of our FİZİX digital transformation project have been completed, and we have begun to see the efficiency improvements provided through this project.
In the periods ahead, we believe these projects will continue to create high value for our company and stakeholders. As OYAK Çimento and CIMPOR, we will continue to achieve success not only in financial performance but also in corporate social responsibility. OYAK Çimento will continue growth in both Turkey and global markets by increasing its investments and operational strength, and will reinforce stakeholder confidence through strong dividend policy and effective financial management. I extend my sincere gratitude to all our employees and business partners for their contributions to this success."
