DuPont Launches High-Performance Accessories for ArmorWall

DuPont's high-performance DuraGard WD and LiquidArmor FJ products, designed and launched to ensure continuity of air and water barriers, offer seamless integration with the DuPont ArmorWall System.

These new accessories can maximize installer efficiency and deliver field savings in time and labour across all types of commercial buildings through their applicability at low temperatures, 270 days of UV exposure, and fast and easy application capabilities," said ArmorWall Manager Casey Sincavage, continuing: "Together and as part of the complete ArmorWall System, our innovative 5-in-1 system can take its already impressive flexibility capabilities to an entirely new level.

DuraGard WD Self-Adhesive Flash Tape is a backing-free window and door hard-opening tape that helps protect the integrity of air and water-tight barrier systems. By sealing and protecting vulnerable areas around openings, DuraGard WD will help increase the durability and energy efficiency of various commercial structures.

It features a moisture-resistant removable backing that can be removed without strain and is available in approximately 23, 25 and 30 cm widths, providing compatible use with ArmorWall Plus panel dimensions to fully align the high-performance tape to exterior surfaces.

As a result: high-performance protection that keeps air and water out and seamlessly integrates with the DuPont ArmorWall System as part of comprehensive building envelope protection.

LiquidArmor FJ Flash and Joint Compound, the latest addition to DuPont's family of liquid-applied solutions, is a single-component, high-solids STPE formulation that exhibits low shrinkage during cure and requires only one application. It features a structure that prevents sagging during application, enabling application at correct thickness and providing fast, efficient application.

LiquidArmor FJ is designed for use at panel edges, joints and connection points to complete the air and water-tight barrier continuity of the ArmorWall System.

The DuPont ArmorWall System claims to be one of the highest-performance and most innovative exterior wall system solutions available on the market today. It integrates five traditional building envelope elements—structural cladding, fire resistance providing direct cladding connection, continuous air barrier, water-resistant barrier and vapour control, and continuous insulation layer with high performance and low global warming potential adhered to the cladding—into a single panel system.

The premium 5-in-1 composite panel system can be installed in a single building pass, saving time, labour and material costs.

DuraGard WD and LiquidArmor FJ, the latest additions to DuPont's commercial construction portfolio, will help further simplify and ease the ArmorWall System installation process while increasing on-site flexibility and productivity as well as enhancing the system's long-term performance.
