Leather Sector Exports Rise 17%

In the first half of 2021, exports by the Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters Association (EDMİB) totaled USD 74.1 million, representing 10.7% of Turkey's total leather and leather products exports of USD 793.2 million in the same period. This regional export comprised 20% leather hides, 12% leather garments, 10% saddlery and 58% footwear products. In the January-June period of this year, regional exports showed a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2020.
