Yurtbay Seramik Launches New Era in Sustainability

Yurtbay Seramik has taken an important step in environmentally responsible production by commissioning a 5 MWe rooftop Solar Energy Plant (SEP) at its production facility in Eskişehir İnönü. This investment, a concrete reflection of the company's sustainability vision, represents the beginning of a new era in energy efficiency.

The plant, with an annual electricity generation capacity of approximately 9,427 MWh, meets approximately 13% of the company's total electricity consumption. Through the project, it is aimed to reduce approximately 4,600 tonnes of carbon emissions annually and minimize environmental impact.

Integrated solution in energy efficiency
The SEP investment operates not only in electricity generation but is integrated with cogeneration systems running on natural gas. In this way, natural gas consumption in cogeneration processes is reduced.

Through this integration, approximately 1,500,000 Sm³ of natural gas is saved annually, carbon footprint is significantly reduced, and efficiency gains are achieved in energy costs.
