Final Deadline for Green Dot Student Awards Applications: 13 October
ÇEVKO Foundation Green Dot Student Awards application deadline extended to 13 October 2023 following requests, with the award programme now being held for the second year, sponsored by GCA, Coca Cola İçecek and Uludağ İçecek.
The Green Dot Student Awards aim to encourage university students to develop original environmentally friendly products, applications and projects in packaging design, waste management and social responsibility, and to foster university-industry cooperation. Projects ranking in the top 3 in each category receive monetary prizes and additional incentive awards.
ÇEVKO Foundation for Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Recovery is organising the Green Dot Student Awards for the second time this year, following the Industry and Press awards under the traditional Green Dot Awards framework. The Green Dot Student Awards aim to encourage university students to develop original environmentally friendly products, applications and projects in packaging design, waste management and social responsibility, and to foster university-industry cooperation. Projects ranking in the top 3 in each category receive monetary prizes and additional incentive awards.
Awards are presented in three categories: Packaging Eco-design, Waste Management Systems and Applications, and Environmental-themed Social Responsibility Applications, as follows:

ÇEVKO Foundation, combining competent industry initiative and civil society organisation identity, has been rewarding for 10 years through the Green Dot Awards industrial organisations meeting the established criteria to the highest degree in sustainable recovery work related to the environment, media and publishing organisations demonstrating sensitivity towards raising public awareness and informing the public on environmental and recycling matters, journalists, and individuals who have won public recognition. In addition, we launched the Green Dot Student Awards and are organising them for the second time this year, with the aim of encouraging university students to develop original environmentally friendly products, applications and projects in packaging design, waste management and environmental social responsibility, and to foster university-industry cooperation. The Green Dot Student Awards represent a very important step in accelerating youth energy towards sustainability and fostering university-industry cooperation," he said. Addressing the importance of active youth and academic institutions' participation in all sustainability-focused work, Mete İmer stated, "Young people have very high awareness regarding the climate crisis. They have little responsibility but will experience its effects. That is why we are pleased to work together to produce solutions and to support the youth who need to own this issue. The world is undergoing change, and the green transition is happening rapidly. As a country, we need the energy of universities and youth not to fall behind the climate crisis risk and the pace of green transition. We must all work together and succeed on this for the next generations.
