Injection molder Vital Plastics has been sold to private investment firm Wolverine Capital Partners for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Baldwin, WI, Vital Plastics provides injection molding, assembly and tooling services to a range of industries.
According to a news release, over the past decade, leadership of Vital Plastics transitioned from majority owner Terry Townsend to CEO George Hauser and President and CFO Matthew Fish.
Hauser and Fish were reported to have helped drive the company's growth and modernization during this period, particularly by implementing automation and reporting systems. Fish will continue to oversee daily operations.
Wolverine Capital's portfolio includes Baytech Plastics, an injection molder based in Midland, ON, and Burkland, a metal manufacturer located in Goodrich, MI.
CFO Matthew Fish said, "We are pleased to partner with the Wolverine Capital team," and "Among all the groups we engaged with, their team impressed us most because of their straightforward approach and passion for building businesses.
We are uniquely aligned in recognizing the qualities that have driven our company's success: a loyal employee base and long-standing customer relationships, many dating back decades… We eagerly anticipate our next growth phase with Wolverine Capital."
