Vestel Launches Household Recycling Project

Vestel's Home Transformation Project Vestel is involving consumers who want to take action for a sustainable world through its Home Transformation Project, integrating them into forward and reverse recycling ecosystems. Vestel, which promises individuals a more sustainable lifestyle through environment-friendly products with low energy and water consumption, has launched a new project. Under the brand's Home Transformation Project, old and unused white goods and electronic equipment will be reintroduced into the economy. The scrap value obtained from products will be converted into donations within the scope of collaborations with relevant non-governmental organizations aimed at supporting natural habitat protection efforts. Additionally, consumers supporting the project by providing their old products will participate in afforestation efforts in hard-to-reach areas through a partnership with Ecording, where seed balls will be dropped by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Vestel CEO Turan Erdoğan, emphasizing the great importance of the Home Transformation Project for Vestel's sustainability activities, stated: "We are committed to leaving future generations a better world than what we have now. Both environmental and social benefits will be created

According to the announcement made, within the project scope, consumers will be able to directly participate in the brand's sustainability activities. Vestel Authorized Service Centers will collect products that consumers no longer use from their homes, regardless of brand, by appointment, and will provide free dismantling services where necessary. The revenue from products to be scrapped will be converted into benefits by being donated to a non-governmental organization for use in natural habitat and environmental protection efforts. Furthermore, for each consumer, through a partnership with Ecording, seed balls will be deployed as part of afforestation efforts in hard-to-reach areas using Ecodrone. The brand will maintain communication with participating consumers in the short and long term, providing surprises.
