Varaka Continues Growth Trajectory Demonstrating significant success in its third year of production, Varaka, a company of the Albayrak Group, has made its first appearance on the 'Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises Survey-2021' list prepared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO), and continues its sustainable growth. Varaka, an environmentally conscious company that sources 100 percent of its raw materials from recycled waste paper and ranks among Turkey's largest industrial enterprises, entered the İSO 500 list at position 397. According to the statement released, the company achieved net sales of TRY 1,251,875,898 in 2021, marking a major success in its third year of production and securing the 397th position on the İSO 500 list. In the İSO 500 list's general ranking by total assets, the company ranked 170th. Varaka, which transforms waste paper into products such as fluting, HP fluting, testliner, HP testliner, and kraft paper bags, closed 2021 with a net profit of TRY 113,181,007 and ranked 293rd in the general Pre-Tax Income/Loss classification and 224th in the general EBITDA ranking. The company continues its operations with a sustainable strong financial structure, strategic management, and Albayrak Group's corporate governance approach. Varaka, established on an area of 1,265,000 square meters in Balıkesir, remains one of the largest facilities in this sector in Turkey and continues to serve Turkey's economy. Advanced technology is utilized at every stage of production to increase efficiency and quality and ensure continuity in product quality, positioning the company among leading firms at the Industry 4.0 level. The company, which adds value to the country's economy through its environmentally conscious production mission and recycling principles, continues to expand its product range according to customer needs. Contributing significantly to Turkey's domestic paper manufacturing deficit, Varaka expanded its product portfolio by adding Kraft Paper Bags to its existing range of Fluting (FL), HP Fluting (HPFL), Imitation Kraftliner (IKL), Testliner (TL), and HP Testliner (HPETL) products. Since beginning operations, the company has ranked among the most important firms in the market through its product quality and capacity, and with its treatment facility with a capacity of 7,000 m3/day, it minimizes water consumption by reusing a large portion of treated water in its own processes. To increase efficiency and quality and ensure continuity in product quality, the company utilizes Automation Control Systems (DCS) and Quality Control Systems (QCS), as well as Industry 4.0 technologies at every stage of production, and continues operations among the leading companies in domestic and national manufacturing. As one of the sector's newer companies and counted among the major investments of recent years, the company continues to contribute to sectoral and regional development. The company places serious emphasis on research and development activities and is conducting comprehensive work on new research and development projects. Upon completion of these projects and with the new investments planned, the company's current production capacity is expected to reach much higher levels.
