Through his work, he developed Turkey's first probiotic microorganism. He stated that with the fertilizer he produced, the soil in Turkey has returned to its condition from approximately 150 years ago. Rize-based entrepreneur Habib Koçal gained recognition in recent years for developing capsule honey by successfully encapsulating honey. After obtaining a patent for capsule honey production, Koçal has now signed off on a new invention. He noted that minerals found within the clay structure of soil are rendered soluble by beneficial bacteria in biofertilizer, and at the same time these beneficial bacteria stimulate plant roots and positively influence growth. Having launched another project, Koçal will file a patent application for his project in the coming days.

The world's door of hope

Habib Koçal explained his project as follows: "Our country and our world are going through a very difficult period. There are serious problems in the field of agriculture. Due to insufficient microorganisms in the soil and inadequate soils, we have reached a point where we are even leasing soil from abroad. The only product that can be stored is grain. Through our work on this matter, we developed Turkey's first probiotic microorganism. We developed a formulation for use in the agricultural field. This is called microbial probiotic organisms. Our work addresses the fact that normal soil should contain 3 percent organic matter. With the microbial fertilizer we developed, we are returning the soil to its condition from an estimated 150 years ago. Returning the soil to 150 years ago means higher yields in production. The entire world's fertilization system is dependent on chemical fertilizers and natural gas. This project appears to be a door of hope not only for Turkey but for the world as well. Due to pollution and chemicals worldwide, underground water sources have also been damaged. After using this product, the potential for underground water sources to be cleaned increases. More importantly, in areas such as the Southeastern Anatolia region, while soil water retention level is 65 before application, it rises to 70 after application. At a time when water is crucial, this is a very important product."
