TÜİOSB Digital Supply Pool Project Announced
Mersin Tarsus Agricultural Product Processing Specialization Organized Industrial Zone (TÜİOSB) Chair Gül Akyürek Balta announced that TÜİOSB will present the 'Digital Procurement Pool Project' created within the Digital Transformation Center to conduct all goods and services procurement for infrastructure and production.
Akyürek Balta stated that with the goal of 'Industry 4.0', work is proceeding at full speed to establish a digital agriculture and food ecosystem based on sustainable production in line with the European Green Deal at the new generation organized industrial zone Mersin Tarsus Agricultural Product Processing Specialization Organized Industrial Zone, which is founded on respect for the environment and people.
Providing information that products manufactured at TÜİOSB will be upgraded to high added-value status through technology and exported with the 'Digi Green Food Valley' certification, Gül Akyürek Balta said, "Infrastructure investments regarding TÜİOSB's operational start are progressing rapidly.
We have completed the allocation of 70 industrial parcels in the first phase across the total 300-hectare area, and land preparation and road works in the 115-hectare area are nearing completion.
Drinking and utility water, sewerage network, wastewater treatment facility and energy infrastructure projects have been completed and are being implemented one by one. Now, we are counting the days until we start construction of our factories."

Digital Transformation Center from TÜİOSB
Noting that in today's world of remarkable technological developments, new technologies are causing significant changes and transformations in every field from production processes to commercial and social life, Akyürek Balta continued as follows:
"We have established the Digital Transformation Center to prepare the ground for digital transformation of our investors and SMEs in the region, increase their global competitiveness, and ensure sustainable and profitable growth. Through the Digital Transformation Center, we will develop digitalization awareness among TÜİOSB investors and regional SMEs, enabling them to become part of the digital ecosystem. We will work to identify the resources needed for digital transformation and resource gaps, address the shortcomings, and ensure the most efficient use of existing resources."Through the Digital Procurement Pool, supplier firms and investors will meet on a single platform Gül Akyürek Balta noted that TÜİOSB created a Digital Procurement Pool within the Digital Transformation Center to conduct all goods and services procurement for infrastructure and production, continuing as follows:
"The Digital Procurement Pool within the Digital Transformation Center is one of our other important initiatives, just like our other projects. Investor firms wishing to be included in the pool can apply and, by participating in the 'Supplier Evaluation Program', be added to the list of TÜİOSB-approved suppliers. In this way, TÜİOSB-approved suppliers, along with the region's infrastructure and superstructure investments, will be brought together on an open and transparent shopping platform where TÜİOSB investors building their factories can conduct all goods and services procurement, bringing buyers and sellers together. All firms in the pool will be able to submit their offers through the Digital Procurement Pool for requested goods and services and participate in requested tenders."Priority to Mersin
Gül Akyürek Balta stated that TÜİOSB will give priority to Mersin in all goods and services procurement for its infrastructure and production, concluding his remarks as follows:
"We will organize a series of meetings at TÜİOSB Digital Transformation Center for firms wishing to be included in the procurement pool to inform sectors in our city and invite them to tenders. The first of our series of meetings, which we will organize in cooperation with Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mersin Association of Tradesmen and Artisans, and the Mersin Branch of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, will take place on Tuesday, 6 September 2022 at 14:00 in the MTSO Conference Hall.
