Support for 30 Clean Energy Sector Entrepreneurs
An information meeting was held for the "Clean Energy and Clean Technologies-Focused Entrepreneurs Business Idea Call for Proposals," prepared specifically by the Presidency of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) for entrepreneurs wishing to enter the clean energy sector. The meeting was hosted by the Association of Energy Industrialists and Businessmen (ENSİA).
The meeting held at Bayraklı Hilton Garden Inn Hotel was attended by representatives of ENSİA corporate member companies and entrepreneurs seeking to invest in the sector.
Final Application Deadline 5 May
Speaking at the meeting, KOSGEB İzmir Director Dr. Levent Arslan stated that within the scope of the Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program implemented to develop an entrepreneurship culture with technology-based and innovative entrepreneurship capacity, regional needs are also being considered in addition to existing support schemes. Noting that they aim to support entrepreneurs in İzmir and Manisa provinces who can implement business ideas focused on energy and clean technologies and aligned with the call topics, Arslan informed that the Call for Proposals, which began on 17 April, has a final application date of 5 May. Levent Arslan added that unlike previous KOSGEB implementations, this support call does not require company establishment, and prospective entrepreneurs can apply for support with their business ideas. Many Examples Within ENSİA
ENSİA Board Chairman Alper Kalaycı provided a detailed assessment of what needs to be done to achieve the "2053 Net Zero" target in the clean energy sector. Recalling that ENSİA, which has nearly 100 corporate members, includes many companies in the clean energy sector as new ventures, Kalaycı emphasized that these entrepreneurs, who started with a business idea, have reached the level of opening booths at international trade fairs within several years and expanding their engineering teams. Noting that according to the targets set in Turkey's National Energy Action Plan, 75 percent of energy investments to be made by 2035 will be allocated to wind and solar energy sectors, Kalaycı drew attention to the vital importance of domestic equipment utilization in the construction processes of these investments.Support for 30 Entrepreneurs
