Because oxidation and corrosion can develop over time in reinforced concrete water tanks commonly used in our country. These deformations can alter the chemical composition of water. For this reason, water for use in living spaces must be preserved in proper storage systems to ensure safe use. Water storage systems to be used in living spaces—particularly in municipalities, agriculture, homes, workplaces, industry, schools, hospitals and many other areas—must have high strength and comply with national and international standards. Using "GRP Modular Water Tank" technology, it is possible to safely preserve stored water for many years without risk of corrosion or bacteria. Because GRP water tanks produced from "fiberglass-reinforced composite material" defined as a high-engineering material and referred to as SMC, unlike traditional systems, are not affected by extreme heat and extreme cold external environmental conditions. Additionally, because GRP panels are covered with fiberglass material, the permeability of UV rays approaches zero. Thus algae, fungi and bacteria do not develop in the stored water. However, attention must also be paid to which rating class the product is certified with. In some GRP panels produced in Turkey and worldwide, stored water can remain healthy up to 23°C.
