Standard Profil Wins İKMİB Star of Exports Award

Standard Profil has won an award in the "Other Rubber Goods Exports" category at the awards determining 2021's export stars in chemistry, Turkey's second-largest exporting sector. Standard Profil earned the right to receive an award at the "İKMİB Export Stars Award Ceremony" held annually by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB). The 2021 İKMİB Export Stars Award Ceremony, held for the seventh time this year by İKMİB to honor and encourage its member companies in the chemistry sector for their successful exports, took place on 21 March 2022. At the awards determining 2021's export stars in chemistry, Turkey's second-largest exporting sector, Standard Profil won an award in the "Other Rubber Goods Exports" category. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Turkish Exporters Council (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle, İKMİB Board of Directors Chairman Adil Pelister and representatives of award-winning companies. With 170 awards across 34 categories, the award on behalf of Standard Profil was accepted by SP Düzce Operations Manager Murat Galip Kuşçuoğlu and SP Düzce Supply Chain Deputy Manager Ferahnaz Caymaz. Chemistry, Turkey's second-largest exporting sector, set a new record in 2021 with USD 25.4 billion in exports. The sector's exports grew by 39% in 2021. İKMİB, representing over 8,500 active exporting companies, accounts for 58.75% of Turkey's total chemistry exports. In the chemistry sector, which plays a strategic role in the economy by supplying raw materials or semi-finished products to other sectors through 16 sub-sectors ranging from plastics to paints and from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals, Standard Profil also holds an important role and significance.
