Lütfi Abay, founder of Kimpaş AŞ who has devoted the last 16 years to education, is also known for the support he provides to students throughout Turkey and the school and dormitories he had constructed in his hometown of Sivas. The Lütfi Abay Culture and Education Foundation (LAKEV), which he established in 2013, continues to award scholarships annually to needy university students. Additionally, LAKEV supports scientific research conducted by faculty members at Sivas Cumhuriyet University and organizes the LAKEV Science Awards Ceremony each year.
