Pump systems account for 20 percent of global energy consumption
Citing the rapid rise in energy commodity prices worldwide and the threat of global warming, Masdaf After-Sales Services Manager Hüseyin İpekoğlu provided explanations on the share and importance of the pump sector in global energy consumption: "Pump systems used in buildings, industry, infrastructure applications, water supply, wastewater applications, and heating, cooling and ventilation systems account for approximately 20 percent of global energy consumption. The energy consumed by pumps corresponds to an average of 30 percent of electrical energy consumed in industries.Periodic maintenance is essential for sustainable efficiency
Periodic maintenance of existing pumps is required to sustain efficiency in pump systems," he said."We increase system efficiency and reduce energy consumption costs"
Masdaf After-Sales Services Manager Hüseyin İpekoğlu, drawing attention to the importance of periodic maintenance services provided within the scope of Masdaf's service organization in combating energy and water crisis, made the following remarks: "In pump technologies used in different fields such as residential, industrial and infrastructure applications, failures can occur over time due to operating conditions. During a pump's 10-year lifespan, initial investment cost and repair expenses account for 10 to 15 percent of total costs, with remaining expenses stemming from energy consumption. For this reason, the periodic maintenance service we provide using technological measurement, monitoring and tracking devices is of great importance in keeping businesses' energy expenses under control. Within the scope of maintenance service, we can measure the efficiency of operating equipment and devices and identify potential failures in advance. Thus, we prevent water leaks, increase system efficiency, and reduce energy consumption costs," he said. Masdaf continues to deliver high value-added solutions by ensuring more efficient system operation in projects where it serves as a solution partner, with 80 authorized service centers throughout Turkey and approximately 300 experienced service personnel.Advertisement
