L'Oréal Group Achieves Historic Success L'Oréal Group has secured a place on the prestigious 'A List' compiled by CDP, a global non-profit organization, for its activities in combating climate change, ensuring water security, and protecting forests. The company has become the only organization worldwide to achieve "3A" scores seven consecutive times in the field of corporate sustainability. L'Oréal Group has once again demonstrated its high environmental performance and leadership through this achievement. With significant, measurable actions against climate, water security risks, and deforestation, L'Oréal Group maintains its global leadership position on corporate environmental targets, actions, and transparency. According to data from CDP's 2022 Climate Change, Forests, and Water Security surveys, L'Oréal Group was among 12 companies achieving "3A" scores out of approximately 15,000 companies. CDP's annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognized as the gold standard for corporate environmental transparency. In 2022, more than 680 investors with assets exceeding USD 130 trillion and 280 major purchasers with purchasing expenditure of USD 6.4 trillion requested companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities through the CDP platform. A record-breaking 18,700 companies responded to the call. CDP employs a detailed and independent methodology to evaluate these companies, assigning grades from A to F based on environmental risk awareness and management, setting ambitious and meaningful targets, and demonstrations of best practices related to environmental leadership. L'Oréal Group Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Hieronimus commented on the matter:
"We are honored to be the only company receiving a 3A score from CDP for seven consecutive years. This achievement symbolizes our Group's long-term commitment and our passion for ensuring that our operations respect the planet's boundaries. As the world's leading beauty company, we have a responsibility to lead society and our sector. We want to leverage our strong scale to serve as a catalyst for change and mobilize all parts of our ecosystem to address the urgent climate and environmental challenges we all face. By working together, we can create beauty that moves the world." L'Oréal Group has set ambitious targets through 2030 as part of its "L'Oréal for the Future" sustainability program. The Group describes the foundation of the program as "transforming ourselves, strengthening our business ecosystem, and contributing to solving the world's challenges."
