İzocam Publishes Its First Sustainability Report

İzocam, the 60-year leading brand of Türkiye's insulation industry, has reinforced its pioneering position in the sector by publishing its first Sustainability Report, prepared in compliance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. Prepared under the "We Will Be the Future" approach, the report transparently presents the company's performance in environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas.
İzocam, Turkey's insulation sector leader for 60 years, reinforced its pioneering position by publishing its first Sustainability Report prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The report, prepared with the understanding of "We Will Build the Future," transparently presents the company's performance in environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas.
İzocam General Director Murat Savcı summarized the purpose of the report as follows:
"In our 60th year, we adopt sustainability not merely as a strategy, but as a cornerstone of our corporate identity. Our 2024 Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with GRI standards, places energy efficiency at the heart of our operations and transparently presents our sustainability performance across all processes, from production to products, from social contributions to our corporate governance approach."
Priority Areas Determined With Stakeholder Participation
The report was created following a materiality analysis conducted with the participation of all stakeholders. Savcı listed the key topics highlighted in the report as follows: occupational health and safety, product quality and safety, customer satisfaction, business ethics, energy management and renewable resource use, climate change adaptation, sustainable supply chain practices and employee satisfaction.
Sustainability as the Foundation of İzocam's Growth Strategy
İzocam views sustainability as a fundamental building block of all business processes and corporate culture. Murat Savcı explained the company's targets as follows:
"We aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, reduce water consumption by 50 percent by 2030, and bring non-recyclable waste to zero. Our priority is to increase energy efficiency in all production processes and implement circular economy principles."
İzocam also focuses on social responsibility and investment in human resources. The company is establishing an exemplary model in the sector through occupational health and safety, employee satisfaction, ethical supply chain management and special programs supporting women's employment.
Global and Local Alignment
Complying with the European Green Deal, Paris Agreement and other regulatory frameworks, İzocam contributes directly to 7 areas of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its processes and products. Murat Savcı stated that sustainability is a fundamental priority to safeguard not only today but also tomorrow's world:
