Humanis’s 2025 Sustainability Report Published
Humanis has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, which covers its activities in the environmental, social and governance areas. Prepared with the vision of “sustainable health for everyone,” the report addresses the company’s renewable energy investments, resource efficiency, employee development, equal opportunity and community health initiatives. In line with its 2050 net zero target, the company generated electricity from solar power plants equivalent to 69 percent of its electricity consumption, while also signing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in support of women’s empowerment.

Sustainability Is Part of Strategic Management
Prepared in line with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2021 Standards, with the vision of “Strong Future,” the report covers the practices Humanis implemented throughout 2025 and the results it achieved. The company’s fourth sustainability report sets out its work across a wide range of areas, from renewable energy and resource management to product quality and safety, biodiversity, employee development and equal opportunity.

Humanis Technical Operations General Manager Fatih Elay, noting that sustainability is one of the core elements of the company’s operational decisions, made the following assessment:

“For us, sustainability is a management discipline that guides all our operational decisions, from process design to energy use, from equipment efficiency to resource management. With our 2025 Sustainability Report, we are transparently sharing the practices we implemented and the progress we made throughout the year in line with this approach. We address sustainability together with our business strategies, preparing our company for the future through the steps we take in technology, operational competence and resource efficiency. As Humanis, guided by science, quality and technical discipline, we will continue our production approach that adds value to human health, the environment and the future.”

Low-Carbon Production Target with Renewable Energy
Humanis continues its renewable energy investments in order to increase energy efficiency and reduce its environmental impact. In 2025, the company raised the electricity it generated from solar power plants to a level equivalent to 69 percent of its total electricity consumption.

Humanis, which also strengthened the share of low-carbon-intensity sources in its energy portfolio through I-REC certified electricity supply, aims through these efforts to reduce the carbon impact of its production activities and make progress toward its 2050 net zero target.

Women’s Empowerment and Employee Development at the Forefront
Employee development and equal opportunity hold an important place in Humanis’s social sustainability efforts. At the company, which is a signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), the ratio of female employees among total employees stands at 35 percent, while the ratio of female leaders stands at 30 percent.

In 2025, within the scope of the mentorship program carried out to support the career development of female employees, six employees received mentorship support from the company’s senior management.

At Humanis, which continues training aimed at developing the technical, behavioral and professional competencies of its employees, the training time per employee reached 14.4 hours in 2025. Through the digital learning platform Saya Kampüs, training was provided not only on technical subjects but also in the areas of ethics, occupational health and safety, sustainability, the environment and personal development.

Awareness Efforts for Community Health
Humanis carried out efforts to support community health by disseminating scientific knowledge, increasing health awareness and developing collaborations within the health ecosystem.

Within the scope of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease Awareness Week, attention was drawn to the importance of early diagnosis and regular follow-up, while on World Diabetes Day, awareness efforts were carried out regarding an active lifestyle, regular check-ups and personalized treatment approaches.

Within the scope of World AIDS Day on December 1, the “Take Action, Protect Your Health” project was launched in collaboration with the Humanis Cycling Club and the HIV Infection Society. The project aimed to deliver scientific information about HIV to wider audiences, raise awareness and reduce stigma.

The company also contributed as a sponsor to the 43rd TÜSAP – Türkiye Health Platform Pharmaceutical and Pharmacy Vision Meeting. At the meeting, public sector, academic and industry representatives as well as health authorities came together to discuss topics including pharmaceuticals, pharmacy, biotechnology and next-generation treatments.

Strong Governance and Risk Management in Sustainability
Humanis carries out its sustainability efforts in alignment with Saya Holding’s group-wide principles and its “Sustainable Strong Future” vision. While progress toward targets is tracked through the coordination of the Saya Holding and Humanis sustainability committees, sustainable supply chain, climate risk and green financing efforts are integrated into corporate decision-making processes.

In 2025, inter-departmental coordination was ensured through the Sustainability Committee and working groups in the areas of climate change, energy efficiency, responsible supply chain, employee well-being, diversity, equity and inclusion, waste management, digitalization and data-driven reporting.

Sustainability and climate-focused risks and opportunities were addressed as part of corporate risk management within the scope of the coordination mechanism between the Compliance and Risk Committee and the Sustainability Committee. These topics were incorporated into the corporate risk inventory and began to be monitored regularly.

Carrying out its ethics and compliance processes in line with the principles of integrity, transparency, accountability and responsibility, Humanis supports its efforts with risk management and internal audit mechanisms. The company aims to strengthen business continuity and corporate resilience by following compliance requirements in the areas of sustainability, climate, energy and the supply chain.
