Hifyber Working Towards Sustainability Hifyber, operating under Abalıoğlu Holding, continues its sustainability journey with "Zero Waste, Green Future" philosophy, producing "filtration solutions" from biodegradable raw materials. Hifyber has developed "Nanofiber Filter Media" for use in industrial filtration, HVAC systems and face masks, manufacturing it from biodegradable raw materials with a sense of environmental responsibility. Through this initiative, Hifyber has demonstrated its continued progress along the sustainability path.

Hifyber Supporting Sustainability with Developed "Nanofiber Filter Media"

Hifyber continues to operate under the "Zero Waste, Green Future" philosophy and maintains R&D activities for biodegradable filtration solutions. Hifyber aims to generate returns for its stakeholders while creating value for society through efficient and biodegradable filtration solutions it has developed. Ahmet Özbecetek, General Manager of Hifyber, made a statement on the subject. Özbecetek noted that they have placed sustainability at the center of all their processes and emphasized that they have aligned their sustainability targets with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Özbecetek stated: "The rapidly growing global population and environmental factors of the global climate crisis threaten our ecosystem. As Hifyber, through the filtration solutions we have developed since our establishment, we support a low-carbon economy. We conduct our work for a sustainable future with environment, people and innovation at the center of our focus. In this context, we view the concept of sustainability as central to our business processes and structure all our R&D processes to minimize our environmental impact." he said.

30 Percent Energy Savings

Özbecetek also spoke about the Nanofiber Filter Media. Özbecetek stated: "With our sense of responsibility to the environment, we manufacture our 'Nanofiber Filter Media,' developed to international standards for use in industrial filtration, HVAC systems and face masks, from biodegradable raw materials. Thanks to the high air permeability provided by the nanofiber structure, we achieve 30 percent energy savings in fan motors used in industrial filtration and HVAC systems. By enabling fan motors to operate with less energy, we also reduce carbon emissions. Through the working principle of 'Nanofiber Filter Media' that increases system efficiency, we enable filters to have a longer service life, thereby eliminating the carbon emissions generated during filter production." he said. Noting that Hifyber has been working for over a year to prevent masks from becoming an environmental threat, Özbecetek stated: "As a result of our R&D efforts, we adopt an environmentally friendly approach with the 'HF-BIO60 face mask filtration layer' we have developed." he said.

Targeting 60 Percent Emissions Reduction

Özbecetek also shared his targets for 2030. Özbecetek stated: "In compliance with EN13432 standards and under controlled conditions, with our biodegradable product combined with high-tech nanofibers, we contribute to sustainable living by helping everyone who wants to live in an environmentally friendly way, reduce their individual carbon footprint and protect our planet. In this context, for the transition to a low-carbon economy, we aim to reduce direct emissions across all our processes by 60 percent by 2030." he said.
