Hayat Kimya Chooses Valmet for New Investment in Russia
Valmet has begun work to install an eighth tissue paper production line for Hayat Kimya. The machinery, which includes a comprehensive automation package, will be installed at Hayat Kimya's facility in Moscow, Russia.
Hayat Kimya has decided to invest in a third machine in Russia to meet growing demand for high-quality tissue paper products. The machine will be the first at the company's new production facilities outside Moscow. The new production line will add 70,000 tonnes of capacity to the company's existing facial tissue, toilet paper and paper towel production.
Hayat Kimya, which holds the world speed record thanks to the TM2 tissue paper machine supplied by Valmet, continues to advance with the goal of reaching the highest technology available and the lowest possible energy consumption.
The company had previously installed six Valmet Advantage DCT 200TS tissue paper production lines at its facilities in Turkey, Russia and Egypt, and will begin installation of another one in 2021.
Lütfi Aydın, Director of Hayat Kimya Paper Group, said regarding the development: "Our aim is to produce at high efficiency, and Valmet technology certainly supports this goal. We regularly update our machine fleet to be able to operate at optimum production levels at all times. Working with both Valmet technology and the company's personnel makes our work easier."
Björn Magnus, Sales Manager of the Tissue Paper Production Facilities Business Unit at Valmet's Paper Division, said: "We are excited to be part of Hayat Kimya's successful journey. The company started its operations in the sector only fourteen years ago, and Hayat Kimya, already a global player, will soon have nine tissue paper production lines in operation."
