Greif Announces Partnership with IonKraft

Leading packaging solutions provider Greif announced a new pilot project partnership with IonKraft. IonKraft is a barrier technology company specializing in plasma-based coatings.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize recyclability and sustainability in plastic drum packaging that requires additional barrier solutions. While recycling of industrial plastic packaging is generally straightforward, challenges emerge in specific applications requiring barrier solutions. IonKraft has developed an innovative coating using plasma-enhanced vapor deposition technology. The resulting product's barrier is non-reactive, chemically inert and 100% recyclable. IonKraft barrier technology offers a sustainable alternative to fluorination alongside recyclability.
