Biko Fully Automatic and Semi-Automatic Filling Machines

In December 2021, Gökkaya Makina, which merged commercially with BİKO Mühendislik Makine ve San. Tic. Ltd. Şti., began providing project engineering and consulting, process instrument sales, machinery and equipment procurement, turnkey factory and process installation, mechanical, electrical and automation contracting, maintenance and non-destructive inspection services alongside machine and equipment manufacturing for the paints and coatings chemistry sector. The company has completed its initiatives to become a single-point engineering management provider and sole supplier for its customers' needs. From January 2022 onwards, under the "Biko" brand, the company has begun production of fully automatic and semi-automatic filling machines capable of filling using gravimetric, volumetric and flowmeter techniques, as well as fully automatic and semi-automatic tank, drum and packaging dispensing systems.

Semi-Automatic Filling Machines

Our semi-automatic filling machines, capable of filling according to volumetric, gravimetric and flowmeter principles, are manufactured to customer specifications and can be connected either to their own reservoir or directly to tank-drum circulation or bottom discharge lines. Filling machines widely used in paints and coatings, chemicals and food applications are manufactured with CE, 2014/34 EU ATEX Directive (capability to operate in explosive atmospheres), 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive, HACCP and NSF certifications. They are compatible with all metal, plastic and glass packaging and filling opening combinations ranging from 200 grams to 30 kg. Filling with precision reaching 0.005 ensures minimum loss. (Precision of 1 gram at 350 grams, 2 grams at 30 kg is achieved) Filling speeds vary depending on packaging type and product fluidity, ranging from 60–200 units/hour. Package rotation, label application, cap application, cap closing/tightening and other semi-automatic machines can be integrated with modular additions to be converted into fully automatic lines. The filling platform height of these machines is adjustable (quick setup) and machines are suitable for circulation or manual cleaning. The pump/filter unit mounted on the machine is directly controlled via the user panel and performs transfer with automatic level control to its own reservoir. In fillings where the reservoir is not desired, one or more filling heads can be used without a reservoir. A pump module capable of drawing product from drums, barrels, tanks or any desired volume up to 20,000 cp viscosity is available, as well as mesh, silk, cartridge, gap or metal (screen file) filter systems that can be customized to customer request, with self-cleaning or manual filter options. With 2 mode settings for fast and slow filling, the precision-filling speed balance can be optimized by the user. These settings are recorded as formulas on the machine panel, providing the user with formula and packaging-based production support. Via the filling indicator, information such as average empty packaging weight, filling weight, precision in each fill, total number of fills and total filling weight can be transferred as lists or averages to ERP systems. All machines produced by Biko brand for filling purposes are modular and can be interchanged and integrated with each other or with modules on the fully automatic filling machine. (Package rotation, label application, gravimetric filling, volumetric filling, flowmeter filling, cap application, cap tightening/closing, etc.) In this way, in the event of any malfunction, all machines serve as modular backups for one another.

Fully Automatic Filling Machines

  Our fully automatic filling machines, capable of filling according to volumetric, gravimetric and flowmeter principles, are manufactured to customer specifications and can be connected either to their own reservoir or directly to tank-drum circulation or bottom discharge lines. Filling machines widely used in paints and coatings, chemicals and food applications are manufactured with CE, 2014/34 EU ATEX Directive (capability to operate in explosive atmospheres), 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive, HACCP and NSF certifications. They are compatible with all metal, plastic and glass packaging and filling opening combinations ranging from 400 ml to 30 liters. They can be used with all packaging sizes between 40 mm and 255 mm. Filling with precision reaching 0.01 ensures minimum loss. (Precision of 4 grams at 350 grams, 5 grams at 30 kg is achieved.) Filling speeds vary depending on packaging type and product fluidity, ranging from 200–600 units/hour. By removing modules such as package rotation, label application, cap application, cap closing/tightening, they can also be used separately as semi-automatic machines. Filling opening height is adjusted via a single control lever for all work steps, providing quick setup capability. Alignment supports on both sides of the package are adjusted with a single control joystick in one operation, providing quick setup capability. These machines are suitable for circulation or manual cleaning.
