Galsan Plastik Designed with Sustainability Criteria
Galsan Plastik, an automotive company with a solid 45-year history in plastic injection, will have its new factory built on a 19,500 m2 plot in Dilovası Machinery Organized Industrial Zone. The project is being realized by Iglo Architects, one of the competent architecture and design offices in the field.
The design process for Galsan Plastik Factory is being carried out by Iglo Architects, a partnership of Architect Zafer Karoğlu and Architect Esen Akyar Karoğlu. The factory integrates production, storage, management center, offices, social areas and technical spaces. Planned within a 20,000 m2 enclosed area, the factory features two single-story production halls and two-story storage areas, with the objective of doubling current production capacity.
The building is designed with sustainability criteria including efficient use of daylight throughout the facility, energy savings to reduce costs, and resource recovery. Priority is given to the use of recyclable materials. The facility utilizes solar energy and aims to capture and reuse rainwater and greywater. In addition to bright and spacious work areas, the design emphasizes breathing spaces such as open terraces and garden areas accessible to all staff.
Galsan Plastik Factory, realized by Iglo Architects and with excavation works beginning as of 2022, is planned to employ 300 people.
