The company recorded significant progress in carbon reduction and occupational safety performance with its fourth sustainability report.

Fiba Renewable Energy, operating under the Fiba Group umbrella, published its 2024 Sustainability Report. According to the report prepared in compliance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the company generated 1,562,642 MWh of clean energy last year from an installed capacity of 581 MW consisting of 14 wind and 5 solar power plants.

The company, which stands out with investments based entirely on renewable sources, has achieved approximately 8 million tonnes of CO₂e emission reductions since 2009.

Fiba Renewable Energy General Director Koray Kıymaz stated that the company aims to reach an installed capacity exceeding 1,000 MW by 2030, adding: "2024 was a period in which we brought our new investments online to build a green future. We plan to reach 750 MW by completing our 156 MW hybrid solar project by the end of 2025."

Kıymaz also emphasized that the company is progressing in line with the Paris Climate Agreement's 2053 Net Zero target.

Among global sustainability leaders
The company reported for the first time this year under the Turkey Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS). Fiba Renewable Energy received an A rating in the CDP Climate Change Program, placing it among leading companies on a global scale. As of 2024, with its net zero target approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), it became one of the few prominent companies in Turkey's energy sector.

International awards with "zero workplace accidents" target
Continuing its success in occupational health and safety performance, the company won the "Distinction" award, the highest honour in the British Safety Council's International Safety Awards 2024 programme, and also received a silver award under the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2024.

Kıymaz stated: "While maintaining our zero workplace accidents target across all areas of operation, we continue to create a safe and supportive work environment."
