EGİAD Conducts Energy Check-Up Project
EGİAD Implements Energy Check-Up Project
In a world where energy sources are rapidly being depleted and energy conservation has become critical for a sustainable future, Ege Genç İş İnsanları Derneği (EGİAD) has signed a protocol with a solar energy equipment supplier company to combat energy waste.
Seeking solutions to prevent the business world from facing a deadlock due to rising energy costs, EGİAD has signed a protocol with a solar energy equipment supplier company based in Izmir Bayraklı to draw attention to and raise awareness about energy conservation among its member firms through the "Energy Check-Up" project.
"We Are Delighted to Repeat Our Energy Check-Up Project"
Speaking at the protocol ceremony held at EGİAD's Alsancak headquarters, EGİAD Board of Directors Chairman Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer said: "Energy conservation is of great importance to all of us. As the energy gap widens due to global warming, industrialization and rising world population, energy sources are being rapidly depleted accordingly. The Ukraine-Russia war has further increased these costs. Everyone bears great responsibility in overcoming the energy bottleneck and using energy more efficiently. At EGİAD, continuity across terms is fundamental. We are very pleased to repeat the Energy Check-Up project that was conducted in our 12th term in 2013.""Significant Improvements in Energy Efficiency Can Be Achieved"
Noting the urgent need for the Energy Check-Up project, Yelkenbiçer continued: "As energy sources are depleted, energy prices are rising rapidly. Therefore, the importance and necessity of energy conservation emerges as a concept that becomes better understood with each passing day. The 'Energy Check-Up' project, which we created to reduce production costs and increase competitive strength, is now launching with the agreement we signed today. In this way, by entering into cooperation with an accredited company based in Izmir, we are launching an important service for our members to use and conserve energy more efficiently at no cost. Within the scope of the project, Energy Check-up activities will be conducted free of charge at our members' companies, and significant improvements in energy efficiency can be achieved on an institutional basis.""We Will Create a New Approach to Energy"
Sertaç Yılmaz, General Manager of the company based in Izmir Bayraklı and operating as a solar energy equipment supplier, drew attention to how energy efficiency increases competitive strength, stating: "With this project, EGİAD has presented itself as an association with high environmental awareness. It has once again proven itself to be a civil society organization that is sensitive to this issue. With this project, we will create a new, more efficient and beneficial approach to energy for companies, factories and the world, from the ground up."Advertisement
