DYO plants commemorative forest to mark its 70th anniversary
DYO marked its 70th anniversary by signing a "Memorial Forest Protocol" with the İzmir Forest Regional Directorate and planting saplings in the Belenbaşı Village locality in Buca, İzmir.
On its 70th anniversary, DYO took a meaningful step toward a more livable future and sustainable environment. The company planted saplings in the Belenbaşı Village locality in Buca, İzmir. Yaşar Holding Board Chairman Feyhan Yaşar and DYO General Manager M. Mutlu Uysal, along with other executives, attended the sapling-planting event held for the DYO 70th Anniversary Memorial Forest.
DYO General Manager M. Mutlu Uysal delivered remarks at the event. Uysal said, "As a deeply-rooted brand of our country with 70 years of history, we are proud to plant the first saplings of a brand new forest to leave a greener, healthier and more livable world for future generations. With the DYO 70th Anniversary Memorial Forest, we aimed to create a carbon sink for carbon offsetting, contribute to the protection and restoration of biodiversity. With the saplings planted today, we are preventing 4,114 tCO2 of carbon emissions."
