Bursa OIZ Receives Environmental Awareness Award

Disruptions to the natural balance bring many environmental problems in their wake, including climate change and the rapid depletion of natural resources. Industrial facilities bear significant responsibility in preventing these environmental problems. In particular, the adoption of environmentally friendly production processes and industrial manufacturing that prioritises the conservation of natural resources will both protect the environment and contribute to the country's development. Bursa Organize Sanayi Bölgesi has demonstrated its sensitivity to this issue as the first OSB to establish a treatment facility. Bursa Organize Sanayi Bölgesi takes a leading role in environmental responsibility, which is among its founding objectives. Bursa Organize Sanayi Bölgesi has taken steps with the awareness that production is for humanity and that humans will exist in a clean environment. Thanks to these efforts, Bursa OSB, which has received environmental awards multiple times, treats wastewater from industrial facilities and provides process water, as well as treating polluted wastewater. The facility is among the largest recycling facilities in Turkey and among a select few worldwide in terms of installed capacity. Bursa OSB, which also established the Bursa Environmental Center in 1998, received environmental recognition twice from the Turkey Healthy Cities Association (SKB) and once from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation for its environmental commitment.
