'This World Is Ours Sustainability Training Program'

'This World Is Ours' Sustainability Training Program Yıldız Holding employees successfully completed the Sustainability Training Program organized in cooperation with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Turkey (SDSN Turkey). According to a Yıldız Holding statement, the Holding continues its operations guided by the philosophy of 'This World Is Ours' and a focus on creating sustainable value for all stakeholders, and pursues its work with the vision of taking a place among global companies that are pioneers in sustainability in its sector. Within this scope, the 'This World Is Ours' Sustainability Training Program, organized to increase the knowledge of Yıldız Holding employees in environmental, social and governance areas, has been completed. The 12-week online training program, attended by employees from 17 different companies within Yıldız Holding, was specifically designed according to Yıldız Holding's sustainability focus areas and strategic targets. The training program, consisting of four modules titled 'Sustainability Agenda', 'Future of Nature', 'Empowering with Stakeholders' and 'Inspiring the Future', provided employees with training on topics including Carbon Management, Water Management, Circular Economy, Sustainable Agriculture, Diversity and Inclusion. Participants who successfully completed the 24-hour training program delivered by Prof. Dr. Eser Borak, Prof. Dr. Arzu Tektaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı D. Helvacıoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevgi Kesim, Dr. Duygu S. Öztürk, Prof. Dr. Mine Eder, Dr. Tamer Atabarut, Dr. Akgün İlhan, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Özertan, Aslıhan Arıkan, Özge Ayşe Kepenek Bozkıroğlu, Bahar Özay, Erman Fenerci and Aslı Kurtuluş earned certificates of completion.

'We aim to develop our employees' competencies in sustainability'

Fezal Okur Eskil, Head of Corporate Strategy, Business Development and M&A at Yıldız Holding, whose views were included in the statement, said that as Yıldız Holding, while continuing to work for the future of nature, they have embarked on a new path with the goals of contributing more to the development of society and the building of the future, and have committed to being part of the transformation. Eskil continued his remarks as follows: 'To succeed in this transformation, we must first begin with ourselves and move together. In this direction, we place great importance on conducting our sustainability efforts in a way that encompasses all our stakeholders. As we continue our sustainability journey at Yıldız Holding with the understanding of 'This World Is Ours', we also aim to further develop our employees' competencies in this direction. Employees who participated in the Sustainability Training Program gained knowledge about Yıldız Holding's fundamental sustainability approach and targets, while also finding the opportunity to receive broad-based training on the latest developments in sustainability and approaches from different perspectives. I am very grateful to Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center and all our employees who participated in the training for being part of our sustainability journey.'

Dr. Tamer Atabarut, Director of BÜYEM and Member of SDSN Turkey Executive Board, made the following assessment: 'Global problems we are increasingly experiencing such as the climate crisis, loss of biodiversity, rapid resource depletion, and rising cost of living are driving humanity to seek a new order.
