Borealis to Acquire Rialti S.p.A.

Borealis Acquires Rialti S.p.A. Borealis, a leading supplier of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European leader in mechanical recycling of basic chemicals, fertilizers and plastics, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Rialti S.p.A., an Italian polypropylene compounding and recycling company. Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Located in the Varese region of Italy, Rialti is one of Europe's market leaders specializing in the production of sustainable polypropylene (PP) compounds focusing on mechanically recycled polypropylene raw material from industrial and post-consumer waste. With more than thirty years of experience, Rialti uses its annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes to produce injection molding and extrusion PP compounds for applications across various sectors including construction, white goods and automotive industries.
