Beta Gıda Wins Financial Support for Its Project

Guided by scientific progress, Beta Gıda has earned financial support under TÜBİTAK's 1505 – University-Industry Cooperation Support Programme with its project proposal titled "Production of Protein and Prebiotics from Black Tea Processing Waste" developed within its sustainability strategy. Since its establishment in 1987, Beta Gıda, whose brands are registered in 184 countries and ranks 12th among the world's largest tea companies, has earned financial support under TÜBİTAK's 1505 – University-Industry Cooperation Support Programme with its project proposal titled "Production of Protein and prebiotics from Black Tea Processing Waste," prepared under the direction of Assistant Professor Levent Yurdaer Aydemir from the Food Engineering Department at Adana Alparslan Türkeş University Faculty of Engineering, within its sustainability strategy. Beta Gıda, which has continued its R&D journey filled with innovations to date and has developed joint projects with various universities, public institutions and research institutes to convert R&D activities into concrete outputs, continues its operations and academic achievements in the light of science. Having earned the title of the sector's first R&D Center approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2018, Beta Gıda stands among today's leading tea brands on its path forward while meticulously continuing its R&D center operations to support scientific development; it maintains its pioneering role in the tea sector in Turkey and worldwide.
